Looooonnggg overdue post, but as you know I’m barely on this but it would be a total shame not to post my fave track from The Weeknd’s “House Of Balloons” here.
Wow, Amy Winehouse. Dead. Still can’t get over it. Though I haven’t been active here too much these days I felt that it was totally necessary for me to pay homage to one of my all-time favourite female artists here. She’s definitely in my top 5 along with Lauryn, Erykah, Feist, and Yukimi Nagano. Like all of these women, Amy was not only very musically gifted, but refused to conform to the norm and only blessed us with real, quality music. It is such a shame to see so many talented artists die young.
RIP Amy, I hope you make amazing music in heaven with Janis, Jimi, Kurt, Jim, and all the others who left too soon. Oh, and while you’re up there, why not try to collaborate with J Dilla as well? It’s worth a shot :P

“Ghetto Dreams (ft. Nas)” - Common
I wasn’t a fan of Universal Mind Control, but this track has my hopes up for The Dreamer, The Believer. The old school vibe is excellent, and both Common and Nas nail their verses. [link]
